TBH, I can't see what purpose is achieved by trying to hog a hero for your own particular school of thought. For both Gano's Baptist and Calvinist views, you may consult the 1689 Baptist Confession here and the Philadelphia Confession here. See also here for an excerpt from a Gano letter encouraging his Calvinist brethren with their doctrine of Effectual Calling. Naturally, as a Presbyterian, the Baptist end of things just don't do it for me as much as his Calvinistic insistence of Particular Redemption and Unconditional Election etc., do. I certainly wouldn't go to his grave to pay my respects if I effectively branded him as a heretic. Doesn't the Bible say something about rejecting heretics rather than honouring them?
